Home Lateral Flow Tests

Pupils have now been issued with home lateral flow Covid19 testing kits. Pupils should self-administer these twice weekly. At present, each pupil has been issued with 6 tests, which should last them 3 weeks. The first test should be administered within 5 days of their last test in College and subsequent tests 3-5 days apart. Ideally, we would suggest trying to get into the pattern of testing on a Sunday afternoon / evening prior to the return to College on a Monday and then on a Thursday.

Pupils have been observed self-testing so should be confident to administer the tests.

Once a result has been obtained, it should be reported to the College using the electronic link below. This should be done regardless of what the result is.

In addition, in the event of a positive result, please contact the College by telephone at the earliest opportunity to report this. We will then begin the track and trace process to prevent the spread of Covid.

Any pupil who is unable to self-administer the test should seek help, in the first instance, from their parent / carer. If they remain unable to complete the test, they should contact the College to discuss how they can continue to participate in the self-testing programme.
