Open Evening 2022

Our Open Evening will take place on Thursday 6th October 2022!

We are delighted to inform prospective pupils and their parents / carers that booking for our October Open Evening is now open. We look forward to welcoming anyone interested in looking around our College, and especially pupils and parents / carers of pupils who are currently in Years 4, 5 or 6, interested in exploring our College, with a view to joining us in September 2023, 2024 or 2025!

The theme of 'growth'

This year, we have decided to have a theme for our Open Evening, so the activities that you see will be linked, in some way, to our theme of 'growth'. This ties in with our recent achievement of the Eco-Schools Merit Award and our successful Grant Application for our project to improve recycling, sustainable ways of working and care for the environment. We know that the future of our planet is especially important to future generations, and we are extremely active in getting pupils involved in Eco activities.

Open Evening commences at 6pm

The Open Evening will commence at 6:00pm on Thursday 6th October 2022, and will close at 8:30pm.

Previous years have been extremely busy, so we encourage you to book early.

There will be a desk for parents to register on the night.  However, those who register in advance will get fast track entry. In order to provide fast track entry, we are asking parents / carers to provide some information in advance; this means that there aren't any forms to fill in or information to provide on the evening. On arrival, we will simply ask you to provide the surname of the person who made the booking so that we can record your attendance. Those who arrive early will attend a presentation and will then have the chance to walk around the College. Once the capacity of the hall is full, we will encourage our guests to see the College and invite them back to attend the presentation a little later in the evening. This way we can ensure everyone gets to see the College and the presentation.

Pupil Helpers will be available

Throughout the site, there will be helpers who can be clearly identified. If you have questions or need help finding a particular classroom area, they will be able to help you with this. We will also be providing a map on arrival which should help you ensure you are able to see everything you wish to.

Treasure Hunt Activity

For our younger visitors, the map has a treasure hunt on it, which will allow them to collect prizes along the way, building up a bag of goodies to take away with them – you will notice how we have considered the environmental impact of all of these goodies this year, in-keeping with our ecological values.

Record-breaking exam results

We are really excited, following the outstanding examination results this summer, to welcome you to our College so that you can see how we ensure that our pupils achieve the highest standards academically, are cared for and known individually, and are able to participate in a wide range of out-of-school activities, including our Combined Cadet Force, Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and, of course, our Eco Club who have inspired this year’s theme.
